This is a qualification for those engaged in driving operation job roles within the transport and logistics industry. It involves a defined range of skilled operations, usually within a range of broader related activities involving known routines, methods and procedures, with some discretion and judgement in selecting equipment, services or contingency measures and within known time constraints.
Entry Requirements
- 18 Years or Over
- Minimum Year 12 Education or equivalent
- Meet all student visa requirements, including IELTS 5.5 or equivalent
Prerequisite
There are no prerequisite requirements for the course, however, to be awarded TLILIC2016 License to Drive a Heavy Rigid Vehicle unit, the student is required to have a 1-year-old Medium Rigid (MR) License or 2 years old car license. To be awarded TLIC4006 Drive multi-combination Vehicle unit, the student is required to have 1-year-old Heavy Rigid (HR) Licence. For this purpose, Humber College is an accredited RTO (Registered Training Organisation) approved by TMR (Transport and Main Roads – Qld) to undertake training and assessments in order to issue certificates for licencing.

Pathways
After achieving Certificate III in Driving Operations, students may undertake TLI42116 Certificate IV in Driving Operations or RII40613 Certificate IV in Civil Construction Operations or other Certificate IV level qualifications
